Film #13 of Hoop-tober 2019
I never have seen or heard about Night Terrors before. A Tobe Hooper film and have Robert Englund in it, what could go wrong. It started quite interesting to see Robert Englund in the opening scene. Then it's surprisingly, finding out, it's was mostly just softcore-like and big snoozefest with a messy plot. The values of the production are shallow, and that's a shame because Tobe Hooper has done excellent stuff on low budgets before.
Fortunately, there are some good scenes with Robert Englund as the charismatic Paul Chevalier and strangely as the grotesque Marquis de Sade. He can make a film with a ridiculous plot, setting, and characters and play it with his all, but even he couldn't save this film, unfortunately.
