Haven't cried that much during a movie since watching Mommy. Some of the best character work I've seen in ages, especially in terms of exploring redemption arcs. Shouya's journey as a person is absolutely phenomenal and explores human growth in such an impactful manner. This should be a must watch for any kind of schooling curriculum despite how sad it can get because the anti-bullying message is so well put to screen. Along with that, the film explores the bystander effect and how not saying anything is almost just as bad as participating in bullying itself.
New all-timer baby.
