    A beautiful film, but I can’t say I was TOO impressed besides the amazing cinematography and performances. The writing is honestly just alright, like it feels kinda generic and cheesy, but the performances are mostly what makes the script seem better than it actually is. Joaquin Phoenix is amazing as always, and the kid actor was surprisingly pretty great too.

    I also think the film was a bit too long, I would’ve enjoyed it much more if it was condensed…
