Berserker ★★½

Berserker starts off strong, with a cold, clinical tone and an interesting central mystery, but it slowly becomes clear that writer-director Pablo Hernando is more interested in farting around half-heartedly with metanarrative games than actually following through with the plotlines he's set up. There's subverting expectations on the one hand vs disappointing the audience on the other; unfortunately, this falls squarely in the latter category.
