No, this film is about more than the haunting terror of the Babadook. It is about nurturing mothering forces and how this can wear thin and what happens when this gets twisted. This movie is about tragedy. This movie is about desire. And at the center is a very strange, very brave little boy. I loved the little boy in this movie more than anything else.
What makes The Revenant so special is the way it was shot. This is a film that screams "I am Cinema Hear Me Roar". And roar it does, because there is a tremendous amount of pain and redemption in this movie.
