Not many animators today have their own trademark style any more. Bill Plympton is keeping that alive and I think this is his strongest film. A new take on Othello with a grand use of imagery and music. It is a bit self-indulgent at times as all art piece films are but I was struck by its themes, music and artistry
This movie has everything you could want in a fun blockbuster. Perfect casting with great chemistry between all involved. Terrific action on horses and sword fighting. A hero with swagger and charisma that almost doesn't win and then does. It's old fashioned storytelling that works
Fantastic sequel in every way. Striking animation, tight and funny script and every character gets their moment to shine. The villain isn't as good as Syndrome but that wasn't going to happen. Kids will love this. Adults will love it. It portrays the struggles of parenting in hilarious and awesome ways. So great!
