    Just when I thought Leone couldn't top The Good, The Bad and The Ugly...he did. It’s fascinating to think however that Leone made this film because Paramount wanted him to make another western, despite wanting to leave the Western genre to make Once Upon a Time in America (which I’ll be watching later this month).     Sorry guys, but I thought the film was just fine. Basically a bit of a self-indulgent film that while well-crafted in the filmmaking, is very Scorsese inspired to a fault that just doesn’t have that special ingredient that Taxi Driver and King of Comedy had (I did like De Niro in the film despite that).
