What I thought I was going to get: A two and a half hour musical interpretation of Romeo and Juliet that drags on for too long.
What I got: A masterpiece of both film and musicals with socially relevant commentary on modern American immigration, flawless choreography, great music, fantastic songs, a gorgeous color pallet and very memorable characters.
Yep, not a problem in sight...
*glaring issue that no Puerto Ricans in the film except Rita Moreno are played by Puerto Ricans*
