Right! It takes “The Big Short” approach, though, the storytelling is heedless & incoherent! Even the stellar cast cannot save the tangled content! It bends over backwards to be funny, with way too much going on that’s put together poorly, ending up being superfluously dragged! Yes, that’s at a length of 95 minutes! 😅
I wish “The King” had released on the big screen! This way, I would’ve been compelled to watch the whole movie in one go, rather than taking a whole day! I love Timmy boy too, though his presence doesn’t help the fact that the movie was humdrum & fortuitously long! Chalamet & Pattinson were both great, &... that’s it! Looking at it solely as a period drama, it has enough action & violence, though it feels extremely hollow overall!

There isn’t a single soul untouched by the greatness of Kubrick! Cinephiles consider him a guru for many reasons! The capacity to make one of a kind cinematography, the creative mind to make broad set designs, suggestive utilization of music in his movies, were his forte. Eyes Wide Shut is another, & in my opinion, one of the best examples of it!
