Savannah Oakes’s review published on Letterboxd:
Pretty much my first anime and holy shit guys. Incredibly inventive, culturally immersive and gorgeously animated. Every shot was pristine and memorable. The slide door transition shots are some of the simplest but the most artistic.
It's enthralling throughout with a pacing that keeps the energy exactly where it needs to be. It tricks you with what felt like thirty possible endings and any of them would have felt just as perfect.
