    Tetsuo: The Iron Man is a migraine in a film. Tsukamoto's 1989 feature is a turbulent portrayal of technological obsession, best described as a cyberpunk body-horror. The editing is spasmodic, each frame wired together with an industrial soundtrack. On-set conditions caused most of the crew to walk out before filming ended which may explain the suffocating tone.     Greta Gerwig delivers a smartly shot and well constructed debut film in 'Lady Bird'. The sharp narrative on the foibles of teenage life is an authentic, warts and all, coming-of-age tale. There is evident pride in the subject matter and in Gerwig's hometown of Sacramento. Unfortunately, the film submits to many of the ‘Teen-movie’ genre tropes and clichés.
