Sofa Sinema’s review published on Letterboxd:
As far as horror sequels, this is comparable to Scream 2 with its main character still dealing with events from the past while transitioning to university life. Unsung returnee William Ragsdale is effectively goofy and likable as Charlie Brewster. One of the qualities of these films has been the geniality of the cast. John Gries is particularly brilliant as a horndog shapeshifter that takes full advantage of his ability to scale dorm walls and peep at female co-eds. The film also makes exceptional use of the vast and imposing Westwood UCLA campus. There's almost a DePalma sensibility to the way Charlie's surveillance moments are shot and scored as he tracks potential vampires through dreamy, hazy nights.
