So I watched this early jan but I forgot to review it.

Oh god I just love the writing of Willy Russel!
Though not really a masterpiece in terms of cinematography, it is a masterclass in a compelling narrative through a singular character’s perception.

I went in not knowing it was him and immediately picked up on the heavy northern accents, the…

Girl, I really enjoyed this. You know originally I thought these songs were just written for a musical before Jonathan died. But, the reality is, fragments of his work from his musical monologue and failed musical came together to make this. It’s gorgeous and I think this is the full ‘Tick, Tick… boom!’ experience. Like the song ‘swimming’ being scrapped…

This film was a lovely nod to the childhood innocence we can do with remembering.

I absolutely adore Pooh in this film. They nailed the CGI versions of the stuffed animals but Pooh in particular stood out. His mannerisms were spot on and were just so funny and cute. I loved it so much. I have a Pooh bear toy called Whinne (I accidentally spelt it wrong for ages so I class that as my Winnie!)  and I had him whilst I watched it- he liked it too (:

So I finally saw film about sad man who is living within a society (this is so sad y’all)

I ALSO saw this in December but again, I was really sick

I found it to be a compelling film with an interesting take on the character of the joker. The idea of using his laughter as a symptom of a disorder was clever. As well as this, the joker himself being categorically unfunny was a complete 180 to the rather…

What a lovely film! I actually watched this in December but I was really not well and didn’t review it. I watched this whilst cuddling my own Paddington bear that my gran bought me when I was 10. (He loved it very much too!)

The style and visual storytelling is remarkably charm and captures that true British charm. It feels like wearing rose tinted glasses as most things within the film look very beautiful and storybook like. My favourite is…

It was super fun to watch and just reminded me that my worth isn’t based off of what I can do & my productivity. Super cute film! Also I really appreciate the attention and detail paid to portraying Colombian culture accurately & how wonderful it is! Mr Lin Manuel did put some bangers in this soundtrack as well.

But the bit that always makes me have a cheeky giggle is the ‘👹🐀RATS 🐀 👹 on his back 🧍’ lyric that’s so heavily emphasised HAHAHAHAHHAH
