    Despicable Me 2

    ★★★½

Sequels to animated features don’t have an impressive track record. There are exceptions such as Toy Story but most just feel unnecessary. Despicable Me 2 falls somewhere in the middle although occasionally switches sides from bleh to greatness. Ultimately, it just settles in the middle though. That isn’t said with negative connotations though. Things definitely could have been worse. Despicable Me 2 may not live up to its predecessor or end up in contention for Best Animated feature but it…

    The Lone Ranger

    ★½

This movie is terrible, kemohsabee. No, seriously it’s a bigger train wreck than the actual extended and inflated action sequences containing train wrecks in the film. I feel bad for Zack Snyder. No really, I do. Whether it’s his largely faithful adaptation of Watchmen, his stylistically violent 300, his take on zombies with Dawn of The Dead, or the gleefully imaginative visual orgasm that is Suckerpunch, he always seems to get the short end of the stick when it comes to critical reception. I’m going on record saying there’s a conspiracy among the film industry to demean Zack Snyder’s films. Now that I’ve said it I’ll…
