Although everything is important in "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me", the second half completely overshadows the first half. The first half merely feels like fan service and is a cute prequel to the event of the TV Series, but when it picks up...it picks up.
Holding all the psychedelic and surrealness that Lynch is known for with a remarkable close to the life of Laura Palmer. I'm conflicted as the first half is a definitive 4 stars, but the last half is a goddamn masterpiece, which is why it fell somewhere in the middle.
I bought the Criterion for this today and The Return series, so now I can finish off the journey in this Lil' small town! Definitely a must-watch part of the canon. Watching the final half with my mom was pretty wild too, I feel very bad for putting her through all that.
