    Jaws: The Revenge

    ★½

Okay so aside from being one of the few movies you actually “can watch” when you get Amazon Prime... this movie is... you already know.

You know your in trouble when the films tag line is more memorable then the damn film itself. I found myself laughing every time that shark appeared on screen, sure it was creepy...creepy in the way that latex could look so bad on film. Seriously Bruce needed a facelift and if the idiotic idea of a shark actually following our protagonists from the Atlantic Ocean to the Bahamas doesn’t make you laugh, hearing the bloody shark ROAR will.

    Shark Attack 3: Megalodon

Ahh man this movie, so stupid... so funny.

Wanna see a film with acting from pretty alright actors that’s on level with a Akward high school play? How about a film that takes place In Mexico with Caucasian actors playing Locals?
Or even better how about villains that a two year old comes up with for his game of battleship in a tub as the films antagonists?Nahh you don’t want to see any of that, your here for that cheesy…

    Prom Night

    ★½

You know those people that try to hard to be edgy and loud? That’s this movie.
From the opening scene I knew I would be terrified... terrified by how cliche this movie would be.

This film has a generic lead group of characters, who honestly after the first 10 minutes of being introduced to them, you will just be waiting to see how each of their utterly forgettable perosnalities meet their end.  I do remember a promotional flash game that…

    Prom Night

    ★★½

The Scream Queen Jamie Lee Curtis gives a great performance here, the film developes some genuinely good characters, for a pretty sub par slasher film. The kills are somewhat memorable, the whiny girl in the locker room is the only one that sticks out, and of course there is lots of DISCO!
The ending surprised me... sort of. It’s kinda hit or miss with this movie.
Give it a shot or not.

  • Madman

    Madman

    ★★★

If you like slashers, dumb teenagers screwing in the woods, synthesizer 80’s scores. This one is... shocker!!  For you!!!!
Madman 1982 came in the rise of the slasher film craze and despite its odd delievery, and generic appearance, manages to be a good slasher film on its own. It has a fully compentent female lead (very rare for 80’s slashers) who as one of the few characters with brains in this movie, you really root for! A genuine good old…

  • Misery

    Misery

    ★★★★★

Misery is one of those rare translations from book to movie that is done right. Gripping, spuspencful at moments, painful to watch and horrifying, Misery will not leave any King fans, readers of the book, and horror lovers disappointed.
Kathy Bates will haunt you for weeks after watching this movie. Nuff said.

  • House

    House

    ★★★★★

This movie is... something else and one fun ride.
For a film that’s initial concept was Jaws as a House (I’m not kidding) this film was one fun ride!

If you like weird, off guard and down right bizarre and unique films  House is definitely for you.
When I first saw this I didn’t know what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised by just how enjoyable it was!
This film is crazy and weird in the best possible way, One…

  • When a Stranger Calls

    When a Stranger Calls

    ★★

    “Have you checked the runtime?”

Outside of its opening iconic scene, and teenagers who sound like they are 40, this film is slow and uneven when it comes to pacing. Its definitely not quite as scary as some remember.
The actors are all in top notch preformances, and Collean Duhurst is a treat to watch in another hard woman role, but man this film drags badley and it slows down far to much in the middle, wrecking any chance of getting  audience members as excited for the climax as they were at the beginning.

  • Dazed and Confused

    Dazed and Confused

    ★★★★★

This film is a damn good classic, and gives it’s offten comared to 60’s Counterpart American Graffiti, a kickass run for its money.
The only downside to this film is that it gives you false expectations on High School, but that’s it!

This is in the best way, fun good time film, it makes you feel good and will have you laughing you rear off with your pals while watching. Dazed and Confsed is simply a good time movie, by all means “See it with a bud”

  • Jack Frost

    Jack Frost

    ★½

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

First off, no kid and wife would be as okay and cool with their Husband/Dad becoming a snowman and then dying at the end.  Ignroging traumatic plot points aside, this film is just dumb from beginning to end, a highlight (if you can call it one) is Hanson’s cover of Give Me Some loving while the kids are playing hockey is as good as it gets. The only laugh I could think of was while the kids were playing in…

    Jack Frost

    ★★

Alright so I’m gonna state the obvious that this film is dumb, it’s meant to be that way, and you knew when you looked at the cover that it was gonna be dumb. (Unless you were looking for the kids film of the same name)
Granted just because a film was meant to be dumb doesn’t mean it can’t be enjoyable, or memorable, which unfortunately this film is neither. It has its funny moments, but unlike others in this films vein, (Attack of the Killer Tomato’s) the jokes in Jack Frost seem to just miss the marks and flatline in the must unmemorable way.
