To preface things, I should say that I'm a history buff. Since I was a child, my imagination was captured by paintings of battle scenes from American wars such as the American Revolution and The Civil War, my family encouraged my interest in it and even took me to reenactments when I was younger, and I often liked to watch war films like Ran, The Patriot, and Glory which further fueled my imagination.
