High-concept sci-fi at its very best. I really don't understand why people see this as low-tier Bong Joon-ho, as if that even exists in the first place. A film that somehow manages to be angry and quiet at the same time. The famous Steven Spielberg's first film and, surprise surprise, he was good right out of the gate. Some flawed use of voice-over and acting, but the tone is genuinely thrilling and avoids feeling cheesy, surprising considering this is a movie in which the villain is a truck. Probably doesn't break into Spielberg's all-time top 10, but its a very fun watch.
