I mean yes, Sandler is excellent, but this film is exhausting. I often feel like the constant movement and escalation of stakes was at the expense of anything else to engage with it on. I just didn’t care what happened to anyone - I didn’t feel I had time to, given the break-neck speed that the plot moves.
Always delighted by Guy Ritchie on a London gangster bit, but there were two scenes that really soured it - we've moved on from "funny name" gags (not your joke to tell anymore anyway), and the circumstances of a Shakespeare quote from the worst play was also the worst.
Bruv, do better. I could've loved it, but ...
