Steve Robinson’s review published on Letterboxd:
A masterpiece of cinema. Still after 45 years this film still holds up. Not many films would have the impact this film is still having 45 years later. In films today we still see references and nods to this film and things that wouldnt be in modern cinema if it wasnt for this film. A sign of a true classic. Scenes as heart wrenching and immersive as the first time I saw this. Amazing performances from the whole cast but especially Brando and Pacino who both bring something to the screen neither did before or after.
I hate using the term classic and masterpiece but there is very little else I can say about this tour de force of film making. Brilliant and incredible!
