For all the criticism that this movie is basically an ad for the Air Force, I think people are overlooking that the major conflict seems to be anti-US military. The invasive and destructive Kree forces being a stand-in for America, lying about the victim Skrulls who represent middle eastern nations. It’s not a perfect metaphor but I can see what they’re attempting, and it’s unfortunate that the central discourse has been aligning the film with the military. Anyway, I love women.
