Evan’s review published on Letterboxd:
John Goodman is by far the best character actor of this generation. There is no character that this man cannot play and execute to perfection.
Claustrophobic, intense, and thrilling 10 Cloverfield Lane will not only keep you guessing from start to finish, but it also keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire run-time. Both John Goodman and Mary Elizabeth Winstead deliver convincing and authentic performances. What I liked most is that Mary Elizabeth's character isn't an idiot; she is actually very smart and and puts things together. Usually this isn't the case for this type of film.
If not for the last 5-10 minutes this would be a 4.5/5. I'm still very indifferent on the ending. As of now I'm not a fan of it. I don't necessarily have a problem with how it ended considering everything that happened leading up to that point (there are clues that happen through out that back up the ending). I just wish it ended 5 minutes earlier. I still need some more time to think.
