Evan’s review published on Letterboxd:
Carol is masterfully acted and incredibly well-made. This film genuinely looks like it was made in 1950. Both Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara are on the top of their games. Aside from The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo this is easily Rooney's best performance. My only one complaint about the film, and it's somewhat major is that the story is a bit too cut and dry. It's a textbook romance story. I just wish there was a bit more depth. Nonetheless, Carol is still one of the better films of 2015.
