Jacob Dominguez’s review published on Letterboxd:
Leprechaun in the Hood is a terrible movie that‘s not even terrible for the reasons I hoped it would be. Oh, it’s stupid, it’s ridiculous….but it’s so dull! How do you make a movie called “Leprechaun in the Hood” dull?!
It has some funny gags, & a few fun moments, but this is the worst out of the series so far. The direction & filmmaking are really poor, EVEN by the standards of this series. Worst of all, Warwick Davis isn’t even in it that much! Most of the movie focuses on a trio of rappers. To be fair, these actors have good chemistry together, & they actually do well with what they’re given to do. But why do they have even MORE screen-time than the title character?
It’s probably foolish to get mad at a movie like “Leprechaun in the Hood”, but I don’t know, I’ve had a lot of fun with this series so far. At their best, they are good b-movie trash! This was just boring. Oh well, maybe “Leprechaun: Back 2 the Hood” will be better?🫣🍀🇮🇪
