Letterboxd — Your life in film

This took me a while to get into, but the more I think about it the more I love it. Ending is insane. Want to rewatch. Hoping for a Jane Campion sweep

seriously emotionally effecting, I shed many tears and wowza Aunjanue Ellis was good. Would’ve liked to see more of Serena and Venus’s stories as they got older, like mayhaps more like the end credits but before the end credits. Regardless I thought it was really interesting and effective to focus on the formative years of their lives and glad I finally got to see this!!

very interesting to learn about a time period in Ireland I don’t know much about. some great performances and Buddy was so adorable🥺

WOW not at all what I was expecting but I loved it. Kristen Stewart was incredible. So so gripping and intense for its entire runtime, no moment felt unimportant. The score was so chilling and the costume design was beautifulllll ugh this was amazing

watched this on a plane and was like wait no I love this so much I wish I wasn’t on a plane so just rewatch immediately because WOW I felt so many things

florence pugh I’m obsessed with you. her and scarlett literally caused me to make a piercing appointment LOL

I have been putting this one off for a while, but it was actually way more interesting and entertaining than I thought it would be! I don’t think it is anything so special or moving that it’ll really stick with me for years to come or anything, but definitely worth the watch.

This was... an experience 

I was pretty genuinely interested for most of this, I found the first half pretty engaging, but I just get incredibly bored during extended action sequences. But that’s not this movies fault lol it just lost my interest at parts in the second half. Overall, it was better than I was expecting, and especially learning the backstory behind how and why this was created made the experience worthwhile.

Watched for my Italian class and ahh I just love this film! Made Kaela cry though :( but she liked it :)

I was really emotionally distracted during this so the fact that I still enjoyed it so much is a testament to its strength as a film! The tone was confusing to me because at parts it was so funny and at parts so sad, but upon reflection I think that was a perfect way to reflect the highs and lows of alcoholism. I also just love seeing such cute adult friendships depicted, like they had so much fun with each other and cared so much  about each other, and I’d just love to keep such good friends for that long. Overall very impressed by this!
