Literally sat in the back row of the theatre in Chicago when I first saw it. Loved it nonetheless and being able to see it up close like this is a real treat. It’s easy to see why pretty much the entire original cast are all big stars now.
INHERENT VICE meets THE BIG SLEEP meets THE WIZARD OF OZ meets AMERICAN PSYCHO. It goes everywhere and it’s basically Male Gaze: The Movie (part 49458382) but it’s just so freaking entertaining. Andrew Garfield is in top shape and the piano sequence is unforgettable. Can’t wait to see it again.
Incidentally, if you’re interested: I have a really interesting (I think) theory about what happened in the end. Hit me up.
