Robert Dabi’s review published on Letterboxd:
I devoured Frank Herbert's Dune at the age of 15, and since then I was waiting for a film that can capture this feeling. Lynch's one didn't, and all other tv adaptations certainly neither.
When I watched Jodorowsky's Dune, I thought this guy gets it, as crazy as it seemed. But meanwhile I'm kinda glad he never got to actually film it, because it could have been trash and pull this world further away from the film that it deserves.
When I first read "Dune" and "Villeneuve" in the same sentence it was like all the right pieces come into place to form a match made in heaven.
In my whole life, I never anticipated a movie more than this one.
