Robert Dabi’s review published on Letterboxd:
Comparing both, the remake looks to the past whereas the original looks ahead. In this adaption, Ouelet literally said it: what defines us are not our memories, it's what we do – and that's where the movie fails; as well as in the super cheesy ending. Visually, some things catch the spirit. Some great work was done with the animatronics and set designs. But then some stuff gets over-used and over-explained. There's not much left to think about after you left. A mixed bag.
