I know my rating is a little on the higher side, but I had a blast watching this movie. Jake Gyllenhaal is amazing, as always, in ways I don't want to get into in this review. I think the story is well-told, even if it is a little Marvel by the numbers, but whatever, they deal with the fallout from ENDGAME in a cool way. The rest of the cast is also really good, and the post-credits scenes...this movie has the best one, two punch of post credits in any of these movies, I think.
My favorite part of this movie is, surprisingly, the Peter Parker/MJ relationship. Tom Holland and Zendaya have amazing chemistry, and they are both so awkward, tripping over themselves in really cute ways. It's adorable!
Some of the side stuff is weak, I guess, but I didn't really care while watching it. There's a scene near the middle of the movie that rocked my socks clean off. And there's a scene of acting from Gyllenhaal that is some of the best work he's done in awhile. It's a really fun movie, and I'm definitely going to go see it again.
