  Mads plays a scary dad hell-bent on vengeance who needs help from three neurotic nerds. I'm a Mikkelsen fan but I avoided this one for a while because the bad American poster (the Blu-Ray cover is even worse) and summary made me believe this is a Danish version of Taken or something, and shooty revenge films aren't my jam. But it's actually a refreshing subversion of that genre and it's very dryly funny, with a ton of heart.

  Credit to my husband for calling it "the dark version of Homer Goes to College."
