    It's a good scream.

In so many ways this movie was directly made for me, the first one is that ever since I was a child I was fascinated by the work of film sound technicians/designers/editors, and one of my greatest shames is being unable to take the schooling that would allow me to enter the field myself.

I find De Palma's films to be endlessly watchable and interesting, even when they fail to live up to his talent they…

For me they will always be "glorious birds".

The first time I ever saw Harold and Maude I was probably 13 or 15 at my mother's insistence, it is a favorite of her's and after watching it that first time it became a favorite of mine. So seeing it tonight on an original 35mm print and coupled with that heart felt introduction, I knew the screening was going to be special for me.

Such a perfect movie, and one I needed to see again.

The Cat Stevens soundtrack coupled with the moody California setting always sets me at ease.

I want to live in a Traincar.

    Shockingly more hits than misses.

Chris Evans is even more funny in this than I remember.

I can't offer any new insight or explore anything that hasn't already been said about this masterpiece, so I'll just echo how much I want every movie to be shot it wide lens.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

    ★★½

Upon the first scene of JJ's closing chapter of core Saga I realized the secret to that aesthetic, the quiet, calm moments that were defined by Marcia Lucas's editing in A New Hope. The first scenes held me hostage before I realized this, ability to live in this universe I've loved since a child was denied to me, JJ…
