Cocaine Bear 2023
For such a rediculous premise, Cocaine Bear misses by a large mark with the insanity this title should entail. It feels like a group of middle schoolers wrote the script. Now you may say "it's about a bear doing cocaine, the characters shouldn't be good!". I agree to an extent. The problem is that the film takes too much time with these bland, cardboard cutout characters. It tries to make you care about them when we all know what we…

Observe and Report 2009
A stellar dark comedy with a real mean streak to it. Truly one of the most underrated films of the 2000s with a great Seth Rogen performance. Not all of it works tonally (and a certain scene is still in bad taste), but at the end of the day Observe and Report provides enough laughs and awe inducing moments for me to come away with a high enough reccommendation. A truly misunderstood dark tragicomedy that truly nails a vast majority of its highs...

Batman Returns 1992
Probably the best Christmas film ever. Jokes aside, Batman Returns might just be my favorite Batman film of all time, and i came out of the womb living and breathing Batman fandom. The Way Back 2020
The Way Back is a film about one mans redemption and recovery. The long road to finding self worth and overcoming addictions, failures, it is a film featuring what is perhaps Ben Afflecks best role yet. He is riveting, encompassing a broken man who finds life again through coaching and mentoring.
The film features some typical sports movie tropes but what elevates the film is Afflecks powerful central performance and the various obstacles that present themselves throughout the film. See this film if you missed it, one of 2020s best.
