ivy wolk’s review published on Letterboxd:
so y’all know how in my last review i was trying to buy tickets for the clerb while i was at the premiere? well i made it out to the clerb on friday and had a grand old fucking time and even slipped my tongue in the mouth of another person. everything was peachy keen until today. fucking today. turns out someone pulled up to the function with MISS DELTALISTA EVANGELISTA HERSELF RUNNING THRU THEIR VEINS. that’s right: the famed delta variant. 6 of my cohorts have tested positive and i’m currently anxiously waiting on my results. being the generous woman i am i decided to alert the man with whom i played tonsil hockey (5 rounds) about this new development. unfortunately for me he had soft blocked me on snapchat. the only choice i had was letterboxd. i spilled my guts in the comments section of his Zola review. come to find out he later deletes the entire review of the film just to get rid of my comment. granted, he didn’t say much, but it was still work on both of our ends erased. all this to say, i truly believe that y2k night at a popping spot in silverlake FULL TO THE BRIM of white female undergrads becoming a superspreader event is my AIDS crisis. instead of gay men it’s bicurious girls and instead of intravenous drugs it’s mikes hard lemonade. so yeah. i wasn’t at the Fear Street: 1666 premiere. i am FIGHTING FOR MY LIFE!!!!!!
