While obviously gorgeous to look at, Knight of Cups feels more like a chore to watch and understand than it is a movie to watch as a source of entertainment and enjoyment.
I don't think this is a bad movie, and my thoughts on it are hard to catch currently, but I feel like this is a controversial film to rate without reviewing (or at least attempting to review.) I feel like I'll come to enjoy this film the more I look into the history and material surrounding it. There's obviously a lush backstory regarding tarot cards (something I know literally nothing about), but the more I look into the small details, the more I might find myself enjoying this movie.
