Crowe and Gosling are the best bird-themed duo since... well, since the last really, really good bird-themed duo. I'm not clever. I can't think of anything right now. Here: If there was an Oscar for best buddy-chemistry, these guys would have my vote. They're really good. I hope that got the point across.
The only thing I can really say I didn't like about my experience with The Nice Guys was the fact that I watched the trailer too many times (it's so good, can you blame me?), and that I didn't see it in a sold-out theater. Problems with the movie itself? Hardly any. Hell, even the projectionalist did a good job with the film at the screening I attended, and even though I already knew a lot of the jokes, they were still hilarious.
Some seriously brilliant stuff, here. I want a sequel. I want a TV show. I want a childrens' book series. I want the porn parody. I want more. Make it happen.
