It's hard to call these kinds of films good, they're predictable and sappy, but I enjoyed it, sometimes this is exactly the kind of film I need to watch. The plot is a sweet one about the daughter, mother and best friend of a woman called Sarah setting up a bakery in her name after she dies suddenly. There's lots of interwoven drama and side plots, but ultimately it's all very heartwarming and the cakes made me need to go to my local sainsburys for a cream cake cake.
I am ashamed to say as a child of the 80s that I had never fully seen this film and I'm happy to have finally resolved that. I enjoyed the Dark Knight trilogy but didn't think it was as amazing as lots of people said, this though really felt like a comic book film.
