The Pyramid is basically what would happen if As Above So Below (2014) and The Cabin in the Woods (2011) had a baby but didn't realize they were actually long-lost first cousins so even though they meant well their poor kid turned out a little off.

This hits all the checkmarks for my mental list, which we'll title on the fly: "independent thriller/horrors that hit shuffle on a list of tropes and present a combo hoping we won't realize there's no new material here"
