I like Denzel and this worked for awhile and then it became just too much. He was a good guy and a bad guy (yay!) but the body count? Too ridiculous.

I love Jimmy Stewart and Doris Day but this movie dragged. Jason actually gave up halfway through because it made him sleepy. I had a hard time buying into the story, their son is kidnapped overseas and the two of them muddle along, without help, trying to find him. And when they don't find him they are still able to stop the assassination for which he was kidnapped. It was too much to buy into for me. And I know it was the 50's but seriously, give a woman some spunk!
I have not (nor will I now) read the books. I thought since I've loved the Hunger Games movies that I would like this too and I did, but it had some problems.
I had a problem with the factions. Maybe it made more sense on paper but I had lots of questions. Too many to list here, but much of it made no sense. And the Dauntless faction, full of rebels and youth, made the least sense of all.…
