There’s some decent stuff in here, but it all gets overshadowed by the goofy slapstick. Unlike “The Voyage Home”, which had the comedy arising as a result of the characters and the situations they were in, the jokes here seem completely out of character for the most part. I really wanted to like this, as I am a huge Star Wars fan. I did not. The attempts at humour fell flat and all the "backstory" on how Han got his gun, ship and last name was uninteresting and silly. Really, who cares? The worst thing about the film is that I found it boring.
