Honestly, I just ended up feeling bad for poor Melanie Griffith being surrounded by two crazy men.
Aside from that, pretty effective thriller if you turn your brain off while you watch it and try not to think too hard.
I had been wondering if the hype for this movie was all true. I got to experience a rare feat for a movie: all the hype was true. Whiplash is bursting with energy and music, as tense as any thriller, sometimes painful to watch but overall an incredible experience.

And then Robert Pattinson proves he can and should play Lestat and the day was won.
But no seriously this movie was very well made, well put together and written, and my history boner was very pleased with pretty much everything. Especially with Chalamet taking a role so many actors have done and making it entirely his own and even somehow new. This was a good movie and anyone that enjoys a good period piece should give this one a shot.
