A Quiet Place Part II

A Quiet Place Part II ★★★★

A Quiet Place II is without a doubt a worthy successor to the original. It carefully builds upon the world of the first film, further develops its characters and honors John Krasinki’s character despite his absence. The thrills are taken up a notch here, but never gratuitously, making for a sharp and compelling edge-of-your-seat experience. The introduction of Cillian Murphy’s character was very well done and his presence adds a layer of depth to the film’s overall goal. Emily Blunt is phenomenal in her role once again, though the real stars of this film are Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe, whose performances were fierce and gut wrenching, respectively.

John Krasinki’s writing and direction prove once again that he is much more than just a big hunk of man, and whether his next project is another entry to this universe or a new film entirely, I’m excited.
