i can't find it in me to criticize this movie ... i love a light-hearted gay movie that doesn't revolve around trauma or fear. sure, coming out stories are important, but we need more fun representation, and i think this was really good

the "this is 12 years old kids level of feminism that isn't in any way new or impressive" part of my brain trying to fight the other part that's amazed by how good margot robbie and ryan gosling were in their roles ... and losing ... i was honestly going to give it a lower rating but the SUBLIME! joke was so good that it made up for all the stuff i didn't like
