Ah, back on my semi-annual pre-semester bullshit. It’s always a treat to see Linklater’s characters be themselves, lose themselves and then find themselves again in a world so seemingly free of boundaries. Watching his films is self-care because of how life affirming they tend to be. This is the fifth or sixth time, I believe, I’m seeing this now and even Wiley Wiggins’ lack of experience, made so painfully obvious in select scenes, is becoming charming. And now I feel ready to take on another semester of drudgery, and make it enjoyable, thanks again Dick!
