Den of Thieves 2018
One of the finest pieces of cinema ever created. Gerard Butlers incredibly layered, nuanced portrayal of Nicholas “Big Nick” O’Brien as a man on the brink, simultaneously being fueled and destroyed by his ubercompetitive, impulsive nature while pursuing justice for the citizens of Los Angeles and desperately trying to keep his family together despite his wife being a total bitch about a simple misunderstanding is almost enough to give this movie five stars on its own, however there were no tits and as such I must dock it a half star.

I want to apologize for my prior reviews. I understand now that they were disgusting. From now on, I promise to conform to Letterboxd’s community standards. I also want to apologize for the 5 star rating, which is an error I made last night and I can’t change.

Thor: Ragnarok 2017
The best marvel movie by a mile! An incredible achievement from Taika Waititi who turned the Thor franchise from some bootleg, wooden, wannabe Shakespeare shit, into a genuinely sentimental and hilarious movie. He gets incredible performances from the whole cast. Hemsworth shows real charm and comedic chops for the first time as Thor, cate Blanchett is terrifying as Hela and it’s impossible not to develop a crush on Tessa Thompson’s bi icon Valkyrie.
