The Last Black Man in San Francisco ★★

A conceptual film about the impact of gentrification, with a pretty limited and meandering plot. I could appreciate the director's passion for the project and his ambivalent love for San Francisco (as well as the photography). But I personally need more of a plot and character development. I know this got great reviews from many, but it was just not my type of film. And at some point, I ejected it from the DVD player because I realized that not much more was going to happen, other than further vignettes.

Rented as a DVD through Netflix.
