Stephen Gillespie’s review published on Letterboxd:
It is boring as a Batman film but it’s a really good Joker movie. The scene in the museum is just amazing and there’s a lot of fun to be had in general.
The sets are genuinely spectacular, with a clear Fritz Lang influence - there’s also a later allusion to Les Yeux Sans Visage. I love the way this looks, I love the Dutch angles and flourishes. Ultimately it’s a glossed job blockbuster but the gloss is great.
