  Damn it, man. This movie is so close to being great. Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman are both so fuckin good in it. I wish it had some better editing because it has so many great moments and it’s right there. All I know is Baz Luhrmann has become my #1 choice to make a new Oz movie

  You better strap in and hold on tight because this movie will leave you in the dust if you aren’t on board with it. Kinda surprised at how my bias and excitement for it is making me overlook its problems but I had a great time with this movie. It does hit a lot of classic biopic tropes but Baz breezes past them so quickly it almost doesn’t even matter. Austin Butler gives a truly electrifying performance as Elvis, the performance scenes are definitely when the movie’s at its best. I knew Baz wouldn’t let me down!

  I gotta say, I did not expect this movie to be about an international biochemical conspiracy. Kinda expected it to be about big dinos. Strange choice!
