Stephen Georg’s review published on Letterboxd :
After an accident leaves Mark Watney seemingly deceased, his fellow crew members make the decision to leave Mars without him. When Mark awakes, he finds himself stranded on the deserted planet, with a limited food and water supply. He knows it'll be years before the next Mars mission, so if he's going to stay alive, he needs to get to work.
Start to finish, The Martian is brilliant, captivating, and oh so very smart. The movie goes to great length to make every event seem believable—and they do! Nothing feels far-fetched, and everything is well explained. When the movie ended, it felt more like I had finished watching a documentary than a science fiction.
Instead of wasting too much time with details, I'll just highly recommend this movie. It's a great watch for anyone, and you won't be disappointed.
