    If the Zombieland franchise existed in a more perfect world, it wouldn’t be a franchise; there’d only be one. That’s not to say Double Tap wouldn’t exist, and saying that is not to imply that its predecessor wouldn’t exist. Well, parts of both wouldn’t exist, at least not in the theatrical cut, but that’s beside the point. In a more perfect world Zombieland and Zombieland: Double Tap would be one movie, and sure—it’d be overlong, but it’d be better than…

    Mostly a good time. Would perhaps even recommend if the last act didn’t collapse on the premise built and cultivated in the first three quarters of the movie—that characters who had exhibited blithe prowess at zombie survival would power-on an outdoor amusement park in the middle of the night, because they were nostalgic for the good ol’ days, not considering that doing so might attract a famished horde of undead, irked me in 2009, and it still irks me in 2020. All of that being said, I still really appreciate the accurate shoutout to Garland, TX, at the beginning.
