2008's The Strangers is one of the most suspenseful movies I've ever watched, add into that the fact that the plot is based on a true story then you have a good movie on your hands.
The sequel took everything that was good about the original, threw it in the bin and proceeded to morph into an 80's slasher flick complete with an unkillable Michael Myers type antagonist and protagonists who always seem to make the wrong decision including leaving thier only weapon behind them as they run away. Disappointed is an understatement.
